The Vortech Force is sold by distributors. They don't sell in large numbers because they are expensive. Their North American head office in in Vancouver, BC. You can get parts from them; they have a web site. I've bought a couple of parts in the past few years. They are not a big outfit, so be patient and expect communication to be a bit arduous.
As sometimes happens with other vacs that are sold by independent distributors, prices can vary. I was once in a vac shop nearby, chatting with the owner about this and that. Our attention landed on a green Vortech Force he had taken in trade. He then told me about a customer who had brought one in for service. She showed him the receipt for the amount she originally paid and it was in the neighborhood of $3,000. That's a lot of money for the quality involved.
I've owned two of them. One went down the road, sold. The other I still have and haven't quite figured out what to do with. I'd sure like to get half of $3,000 for it but that's a peyote-induced hallucination. If I could get 10% of half ($150), I'd be ecstatic. The one I now have has the expensive accessory, German-made floor nozzle. I'm missing the little wiring pig tail that connects the electric hose to the canister. Oddly enough, I had to buy one of these for the last Vortech I had. Missing in both cases. I think the part cost $6.00US, plus $5.00 shipping. Do I want to spend $11 for a little cord to turn around and maybe get $50 of perhaps $75 for the entire rig? Or do I want to just sell the (expensive to replace) hose and floor nozzle on eBay and toss the canister in the junk? That's why it's been sitting in storage for a year.
The Vortech Force is a re-hash of the Compact design, made in Italy by Ghibli. They primarily make equipment for the commercial market.
