I have five dogs and a cat at my mom's house, and at my dad's house I have two cats and a rabbit. One of my dogs at my mom's house just had puppies.

I have a dog, an australian shepered, named "Tick". (Ill elaborate on the name, dont worry!)
We found her in our corn field, out sitting by the tractor. We took her in, and when we first had her, she was deathly scared of everyone except my grandpa, who is the one that found her. We think she was really abused. It took her a few months to get used to me and the rest of my family, but now, she is the nicest, most playful dog ive ever seen. Ive actually never heard her bark, and weve had her for a year!
Anyways, the name. When we found her, she was full of ticks! Thats where the name came from.
