Maybe I should have put a question mark at the end of my subject. I'm assuming this is another version of the Douglas, like the Busy Bee, or any of the ones they made for other brands. But, this one says it's a product of Tacony.
I've never seen nor heard of this particular version before. So, when I saw it for $10, in its original box, I had to bring it home. It's very possible that it's never been used. I haven't taken it out of the box yet, but what I can see of it, looks like new.
It's branded as a Sew Rite "Sew Clean Vac". Model SC100.
It's obviously marketed for cleaning one's sewing room. It even has a built-in, magnetic pin catcher at the front of the nozzle.
Anyone have any knowledge of this one? And, if Tacony bought out Douglas at some point? Maybe not. Maybe Douglas still made them? But, the branding on the box makes it seem like Tacony was the manufacturer.
I'll post some pictures, of the box, if nothing else, when I'm on my other device.

It’s probably

Just a rebrand of the Douglas, but I’m not sure. Could you post some pictures please?

Without taking it out of the box, here are some pictures.
It comes with two “bags”. The one that’s on it, for vacuuming. And one, made of the same patterned material, that has a small plastic tube attached to it, which I believe they call a “blower bag”.
I think I see the owner’s manual in the bottom of the box, as well.

This appears to have the same outer bag as my Kenmore version. Such a shame that Kirby aka Scott & Fetzer at the time decided to discontinue those Douglas machines along with the other vacuums they've sold as well in different brands like Oreck.

I

Have the oreck, craftsman and another douglas vacuum the Aardvac.
I also have the busy bee.
The oreck has the most power at 3.5 amps. I'm not sure in the ardvac as I have not opened the box yet.

Cool, Les.
I have a few versions as well. At one time, I was hoping to acquire all of the different incarnations.
I have the Busy Bee, and I have an Oreck that's NIB. And, kind of embarrassing, I have one that I don't remember what brand it has on it. They're packed away, and I haven't seen it in a while.
I've never found the Craftsman or Kenmore, except on eBay. Same with the Kirby version. But, they're always priced higher than what I wanted to spend. And, like I said, this one that I just found, I never even knew existed. That made it kind of fun.
