Almost didn't go to this estate sale; but Robert insisted we go there... I turned left when we went into the basement.. had I turned right, I would have seen this right away. I still ended up with it.. nice shape; it will clean up nicely..

It's an early one, it still has Hoover embossed in the handle grip and plug.. also has the "extra bag storage pocket" inside the bag! Found the tools upstairs! Onyl $10.

There was also a beat up Lux XXX there and an early 80's Eureka tank with a powerhead, but that was pretty well used... and overpriced so I passed on those..

It's funny, I've never seen a model 69 without the handle release pedal pad.. this pedal seems to be smaller. Not sure what the story is. The other side has a regular pedal and pad.

That house looks so neat guys!!! Great 69 too Fred, do you think maybe the pad just came off the pedal at some point? At any rate a great score for only $10

Nice Find, Fred!

A beautiful Convertible that will be even more beautiful after you're done with it! Can't beat the price either, especially with the cleaning tools. Congrats,
Jeff

'And glad that beautiful house was a Hoover home.'

Reminds me of that scene in "PRIEST" when the younger priest decides it is important to do 'home visits' and, upon each door being answered, asks "Is this a Catholic household?" (to which most doors were slammed.) Wouldn't it be very productive (read: interesting) to go dooor to door and inquire "Is THIS a HOOVER Household?"!! lol
(Inquiring minds want to know!)
