Hi Fred - it's actually not too bad, and it's an electric powerhead, as opposed to an air-driven turbine. It's one of the few multi-cyclonic rivals for the Dyson DC23 Motorhead - you won't get the same quality, overall efficiency, or 5-year warranty, but the price is correspondingly much lower.

For anyone who's not averse to TTI, and doesn't have a grudge against plastic/multi-cyclonic technology, it's probably quite a good deal. Definitely worth getting hold of to play with!

Kinda reminds me of those dyson canister vacuums. My aunt had one and i used it. Then she accused me of breaking it. WHICH I DIDNT! It was a very good vacuum AHHH! OFF TOPIC!

How well does it perform Jack? Compared to its leading competitors? How good is the suction and deep cleaning ability?

It's hard to give an accurate reply, because I can't tell from the photos exactly what modifications Hoover have made to their version. Doing something as simple as adding stiffer bristles, or slightly reducing the power, could have made a big impact on pick-up or separation efficiency. The Vax Mach Air vs. Hoover WindTunnel Air is a good example of this - my assessment of the Mach Air's performance doesn't really apply to the WindTunnel Air. I wouldn't call the Vax Mach 3 an aggressive cleaner, but it's a level above straight suction or air-driven turbos.

If someone from the forum does decide to buy one, I hope they'll share their photos/videos and opinions on here!

I'll stick one on my order next week. TTI has not done anything excessively exciting or successful with their other attempts to make a knock off Dyson. I do enjoy the Platinum Cyclonic Canister (S3865), but I think the power nozzle is what makes that machine.

yes it does, it leaves the old wind tunnel power nozzle in the dust.

royal uses it on their top of the line canister that looks just like the hoover anniversary canister

I have one.

I bought one of these Hoovers last month. It is my current daily driver. The hose does not swivel at either the machine end or the wand end. The suction is out of control and it really keeps going as the bin fills up. I love the power nozzle. The motor is situated in the center and the air channels are on either side. I have flat apartment style rug in my apartment so the nozzle just glides over it. The nozzle can be turned off for floor cleaning. The handle houses two tiny attachments, a crevice tool and a funny duster. 1 1/4" tools will fit on the hose or the wand. I would like to see a bleeder valve to reduce the suction when cleaning delicate things. It would be fun to see how it measures up in the convention cleaning competition! I bought mine at Target for $149.00

Yes Jack, there are so many self proclaimed experts on here- and they are the FIRST to tell you they are an expert.

Its a decent canister at a price point of $149- what in the world would you expect it to be made out of?

I think we should require a basic business and common sense course to qualify them as "experts."

Why these tweenboys insist on pissing on our cornflakes I cannot fathom. (if any of these whining agitators were born before 1990 then it is a sad case of arrested development and all hope is lost for their future success at meaningful social interaction). They are an embarrassment to their peer group and a disheartening example to their elders.

Word of advice: When it becomes evident that one has dug oneself into a deep hole the first thing to do is stop digging. A simple sincere apology will get you a helping hand out. Get snarky and defensive with the foul language and we'll throw dirt on ya.

You know, I looked at said machine at Target, looked pretty darn good, for the money! Not a Dyson, but close, for a lot less $$.I would tell a friend to give it a look if asked, and I will be.

What's odd is this: Marty who has one says it doesn't have any suction control, not even a simple bleeder valve.

As everyone knows, bleeder valves (a simple solution to a problem) or electronic controls (a complex solution) have been available on vacuums for decades and decades and always touted as a selling feature, well almost always.

So why the heck wouldn't they put one on this?

It annoys me to no end stores like that, Walmart, Meijer, Cdn Tire too, vacs all tied up on a shelf so you can't do anything but look. I'd never buy a vac without at least being able to plug it in and see how it runs.

TTI is simply capitalizing on our throw-away society. In fact, I can tell you with "expert" knowledge that when Wal Mart orders a number of vacuums from TTI, they bring the price point to their expectation.

For example:

Wal Mart intends to have a vacuum cleaner at the $99 price point

Wal Mart contacts TTI and asks how much it would cost to build a vacuum they can purchase for say, $67 and sell at the $99 price point.

TTI knows that it costs maybe $74 to build the entry level T Series

TTI then adjusts the vacuum to come to Wal Mart's wholesale cost. This could be removing a small metal part, using less screws, one less attachment, cheaper belt, etc.

The numbers in this post are entirely theoretical, I know how much I pay for an entry level T Series and the other TTI dealers on here also know, it would be unfair to reveal the actual costs.
