Model c
There is a few differences.
The model 4c is almost identical to the 505. The model C's all had belt caps. Model C was gold 1c (I had and traded to thomas) has black belt cap with the circular light hood.
The toggle switch and power cord are smaller than 505. The handles middle section on c 1c and 2c middle section is wood. The top grip is black rubber. The emtors on c 1c and 2c are all metal including the tray. There narrower than 3c. 3c is the same size as the 505. The 3c and 4c are also all metal including the tray.
The bags this is my theory early bags were double twill cotton fabric not exact on the name. The later were duvetyne which is what 505 bag is made from. This theorizing is 2c to 505 used same kirby everything.
The c and 1c came with a bag like the 505 but it had grey everywhere on the bag.
The model c belt cap was used through early 505s. My 505 I'm pretty sure it's a 4c fan or stock that was from a late 4c as it's a belt cap version. I have not opened the motor unit.
I traded the 1c and thomas got the bag and cord and finished it to original. I have a model 3c that I have with a small dime size hole in the upper right motor housing. It has a belt lifter but being resourceful I have a belt cap for it. The hole I have a pice of copper layer on the inside of the hole. I'm cutting out aluminum off another unit put into the hole on the copper. I'm going to rivet the copper onto the aluminum and the new patch piece to the copper. The edges I'm going to put I'm thinking just dripping solder in the holes since it's same color as aluminum.
I'm then going to box it up and send it to thomas for an avalir 2. I promised him a while ago.
I have 2 505's, 2 508's, 2 509's 2 510's then 512 to sentria with the exception of the g5.
I have the blue american lincoln super sweep upgraded fan and new brush roll. I have a heritage 2 13. I have lots of mods I've done to bags.
I have a 505 original bag a 508 and a 512 bag. I've had 513 515 517 and still have a 519 bag.
I have every manual from 505 to avalir 2. I have exploded diagrams of 505 to avalir. I have digital repair manuals I think for all Kirby's to sentria I'm not positive on that though.
