Screws

It looks to me like the plastic screws have sheared off. For a cleaner in such good condition, it is a mystery as to why the screws were all loose.

the plastic screws

yes i was thinking the same the only other explanation is that someone has opened it and not put it back together properly it is in good condition but there is wear on the tools so its been well used also the rubber bumpers on the clips that hold the front on are perished

History/parts ?

Hi there,
Johnny Clarke here from New Alresford in Hampshire UK.I have one of these, my Mum had one when i was a kid and I loved it, so had to have one myself in later years. They are fantastic machine and I feel much better than modern plastic ones that only last 5 mins. I am after a radiator nozzle and a floor attachment, mine broke ! :-( Also would love to know about the history of these, what year they were released etc...I know my mum had hers for as long as I can remeber..5 years old upwards, I was born in 1962...any relies could also be sent to my email [email protected]
Many thanks Johnny

Hey Johnny. As you can see from the Electrolux filter guide below the model 65 was made from 1960 to 1965. Thought this might give you a bit more info on it.
