British play date...

I brought my orange Senior for Tom A.  to use.  It has an American motor and plug.  We put it next to his other two seniors for fun.  I was supposed to purchase these models from another collector, but the deal fell through sadly.  Here is another photo of a group of machines from across the pond.

If anyone has not seen the world's largest emporium of..

Hoover artifacts, or , if it has been a long time since you have seen a real, stellar Hoover collection, I have taken the liberty of documenting the entire inventory.  A lot has changed here since the V.C.C.C. was here in observance of Hoover's 100th birthday.  Get a hanky ready, this might cause uncontrollable drooling.

Game time...

We thought it would be 'fun' to play a few games.  Who remembers Mr. Potato Head?  This is where you mix all of the parts to create something new.  Here we made a new creation, assembled from existing parts.

Next we created a whole new Convertible assembled from different parts.

Kind of like mix (cleaners) and match (shirts).

Snack time after game time...

Who doesn't like a little snack?  How about a few Italian Pepper Cookies?  Or perhaps some zucchini bread?  Here they're served appropriately on a  Hoover plate.  Doesn't everyone have one?  The cookie recipe was given to me years ago in the Rectory by the housekeeper.  Although 100% Irish, I am told I make 'tasty Italian food'.  Tom, Heather and Glenn were very grateful and appreciative of the creative treats from my ovens in Pittston.  As you can see in the photos, everything came out fresh and moist, as always.

On our way to the Hoover Historical Center today...

Hoover turns 112 on this date.  How fitting that Tom A. and I will be in Boss Hoover's childhood home.  In honor of the occasion and also paying homage to the late Michael Turner, I shall run one of his prized Hoovers in the Center today.  We know Michael would be pleased.

Happy birthday Hoover!

Today marks the 112th anniversary of the Hoover company. What better way to spend it then at the Hoover historical Center. Also to honor the former VCCCC vice president Michael Turner, we brought one of his machines to use at the center today. We ran his model 69 all over the building today we hoped Michael would be proud.

I've brought bags and bags of "North Canton Hoover

I'm sure some members will enjoy them. Will Hemm, I thought of you when I saw some of them. A lot of attachments, too. When I saw the bricks that were removed from the MAIN building, and they were embossed, I thought it would be great to give some to people, maybe a dealer. I think it would be nice to have a "piece" of the buildnig where it all happened
It all depends on behavior, of course. Right?

Hoover 69

John,
I can't tell you how much fun it was to see my Hoover at the place where it all happened! Also can't think of anyone who would appreciate it more than you. It was nice to think about Michael Turner. He was a good friend and I miss him. Thanks for sharing the pictures of your trip. I never would have thought my 69 would end up at the Hoover museum doing a run. I thought it had already made a wonderful transition to Michael Turners collection. Thanks for taking the time to share your trip with everyone.

Excellent Photos!

I really wish I had been able to have it there while everything was still open. I have never made it to North Canton though and I have liked numerous models made by Hoover over the years. Tom has a gorgeous collection!
