An Unusual little Air-Way?

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Hey All! I finally got around to posting some pics of a neat little Mother's Day weekend find. I stopped off at the local Flea Market that I worked at for many years, and among all the junk outside I found this neat little Sani-Magic Prascilla. The tag on the bottom says that it was made by Air-Way, but I could never get a clear picture of it. Runs well and has all the original tools.

great find and complete!!

I`m amazed that it has all the tools with the caddy with it. most vacuums or other things I find have parts or accessories missing

Wow Toby, that is a fun find!! I have seen one of these before at one of the conventions, I can't remember who it belonged to. That little machine sure has a lot of power for its size and so light weight too. I am sure that is a replacement hose but who cares. Have you used it much yet? Terry

That's so neat Toby, we used to have a lot more old things at our flea markets back in the day, but I never remember vacuums. One more thing to add to the long list of long gone brands. Good color too.

Oh wait, we have a vacuum cleaner store in that market, but the only old things they have are the odd tools in the bins outside.

Does anyone else think that looks an awful lot like a Royal of the same vintage? Rotate the lid locks to the sides and redesign the suction opening just a touch and it would look a lot like my 401...

Priscilla, Queen of the Deserted Dissicated Dirt & Dustbunni

Toby, does Priscilla have the Air-Way style inner perforated bag basket and does it take Air-Way paper filter bags?

Dave

Hi Dave!! No, she does not. She actually has a CLOTH BAG! I had never thought I'd see that on a machine made by Air-Way, but this is the second one of these I've seen, and they were both that way. Later, Trg

Again, with the rare stuff?

I gotta question.....that machine looks "Lux G turquoise"-ish, is it? Great find Toby! You've got six machines now kid...good start on a collection! Keep it up!

Thanks for the pictures,
Rick.

Yes, that is a nice looking machine. And I'm with Eric, it sure looks similar to the Royal Pony Tank. I've often wondered if maybe Royal built them for Airway?
By the way, Eric your 401 looks great! I don't think I've ever seen one in that shade of green before.
Jeff

Hey All!! Terry, I've only played around with the little machine some, but you're right, it seems to have good power for it's size. Captain Crevicetool, yes indeedy the vac's close to the same shade of turquoise as the Model G Lux. I may post another pic this weekend. Later, Trg
