Iv'e been struggling for about six months on this project. I wanted to replicate the hammertone finish machines came with way back when, with products available now...First some before pictures of an Ebay Lux AE that I got in April.

It's pretty beat up and a dog chewed the anti-tip over. A wheel (cleaverly hidden on Ebay pics is busted)...

Hammertone

I worked out a method of application and tinting, thinning, to get the stuff to do what I wanted it to do.

Positively and ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I just will never know how you did it! I still haven't located a good paint for my A-W 77, however...I might just have to deal with it and get something that is not exactly right. Oh, well!

Geeze us, that looks fantastic. You must have the patience and talent of Job. I'd have given up long ago.
