Well, It came today, the chrome Apex Strato Cleaner!!!!I took it apart to clean it and replace the gasket that holds the motor in place, so now in detail here is the motor...

Single fan

Double ball bearing...LIGHT DIMMING POWER!!!!Notice the coil springs...they are mounted between the motor brushes and are connected to two crossbars of a fiber material, they PULL the motor brushes together instead of pushing on them..

Note..

The bottom bearing is on the end of the motor shaft, the fan is BETWEEN the two bearings instead of being on the end of the motor shaft...under the small cover is the lower bearing.

The motor is mounted...

On the bottom it sets on a rubber grommet, then it is pressed between the two parts of the housing , the upper part has a rubber gasket similar to a Rainbow water pan gasket, absolutely NO Metal Mounts are used, only live rubber, this further insulates it and makes it somewhat similar to a Filter Queen in noise.

All back!

Together...I have only a set of attachments for a earlier tank, but I do have the correct rug tool..As for power...about the same sealed suction as a late model Filter Queen...Airflow..OFF THE CHART!!
