For those members who own a Miele canister & prefer to use the genuine Original Miele GN bags, here's a great deal you don't see that often! These HyClean bags are EXACTLY identical, with one minor difference - they have the cloth airflow straps at the bottom of the bag like the 1st generation flat Miele AirClean bags in North America had before the 3D version came out. It's not too often you see Original Miele bags at roughly 40% off, so stock up while you can!

But won’t the dollar exchange and shipping charge from the UK make this just as expensive as buying the bags at The Bay right here in Canada? What’s the exchange now on the British Pound?

Exactly Brian. Plus, not only is the shipping free, but at a little over $12 CDN, you're saving $8 CDN per box. With Miele products being price protected, it's not too often you see them go on sale in the first place, let alone for 40% off.

Dealers have been cautioned about using those bags.

They do appear online occasionally; however, the design was changed with good reason(s).

You MAY get what you pay for ~

Robert - If you don't mind me asking, WHY does Miele insist on cautioning their dealers about the HyClean bags? Presuming of course they pass that information on to a customer.

I'm going to have to call Miele out on their BS here. I have a couple packs of the North American 3D AirClean bags as well as 8 packs of these 3D HyClean bags....the pre-motor filter, Super Air Clean filter, the bag collar & the bag material the bags are made of is EXACTLY 100% IDENTICAL. There is NO difference other than the cloth straps on the inside of the bag, attached to the bottom, that float up & down with the airflow. I also have 2 packs left of the 1st version of the flat AirClean bags with the cloth straps.

When I have used any of these bags in my Miele Callisto, as well as my Eureka 6982 Home Cleaning System & Shark Professional EP754, there has been ZERO issues caused by these bags in any of these cleaners. The straps in these bags are not, in ANY WAY WHATSOEVER, constructed in the same way as the plastic straps that the North American flat HyClean bags had when they first came out that caused a issue with the bag not filling completely. Even if the cloth straps in the 3D HyClean bags did cause a issue, since they are attached only to the bottom it would be easy to take a pair of scissors, reach inside the bag & cut the straps in half.

Furthermore, I think Miele are being hypocrites for not offering the bags in North America & warning of the problems the cloth straps cause, yet they DO offer the bags with the cloth straps in Europe & they get no warning at all? I highly doubt there's any difference in the dirt Europeans vacuum up & North Americans vacuum up....just like us, they have pets that shed hair & area rugs & carpeting that sheds carpet fibres. It's another example of how Miele must think North American consumers are idiots they think they can take advantage of, going ahead & charging 2 or 3 times the amount for their cleaners in North America just because they have a powerhead & giving Europeans better quality bags for the same (or cheaper) price.

As for your assertion the HyClean bags are hard to find? I won't speak for Americans as I haven't searched American websites extensively for them, but here in Canada they are easy to find on Amazon being sold by the same seller in the UK that is selling the bags in the Ebay link, Buyparts. In addition to the links I put below, there are also a couple of listings for the AirClean bags that are offered by Buyparts as one of the sellers available to purchase from.

And BTW, since these ARE genuine Original Miele bags, if a dealer DID see a HyClean bag in a North American Miele canister, both the dealer & Miele would be in hot water if the cleaner broke & they tried to deny a warranty claim. I briefly checked the owner's manual for the C3 canisters, & while they claim you must use Original Miele bags, NOWHERE in the manual does it specify which version of their bags must be used for the warranty to still be valid. So if they did have the nerve to deny a warranty claim for using the HyClean bags, a customer could sue them & win in court.

Sorry, I am not speaking for Miele as to "why" but I would imagine they would answer that in some fashion if you'd like to reach out to them.

1-888-99-Miele (here in the states) or miele.com (anywhere)

Did not mean to imply they were "hard to find" ... sorry again.

You may use whatever bags you want in your vacuum. The word "cautioned" was chosen with reason.

No one is denying any claims, nor should the words "sue" or "court" be needed.

It's just a vacuum ...
