...Am i the only one that thinks a vacuum and steam do NOT mix well....?

Why not?

Doesn't seem to be much different than a standard carpet extractor or automatic floor scrubber. With either of those, you spray hot water onto a surface, then vacuum it up with the same machine. What's the difference with steam?

I was thinking because it says you can use it on carpet too.

So, whatever i guess i just see it differently...

will have to ck this out more online, interesting. looks like you can only vac OR steam. i guess clean then sanitize. lol

it does look neat

Don't know what to think of this machine-a steamer and a vacuum cleaner.I think the machine is going to be MISUSED by customers.I wonder if these will be out long-If you want one for your collection-go to Wally Mart and get it now.I can see a lot of these machines arriving to the vacuum repair places. It sounds service prone. But its a unique idea.Looks like it would be "wimpy" for a vacuum.

I have a steam cleaner

that I picked up at Goodwill for $9.95 a few months ago. While I am a hands and knees, scrub rag using type of floor scrubber, I have found this machine to be handy for those times that the dog tracks in, I slop something, or I am just feeling lazy about doing the floors my usual way.

I always vacuum first before I steam clean, but I bet that there are a lot of folks out there who find that to be an extra chore that they can't stand, so I was guessing that is the reason for the steamer/vac combo.

I read the info on the Haan USA website, and sure 'nuff, my suspicions were confirmed: "For one-step cleaning without the hassles of a mop, bucket, broom or dustpan."

I have the original Eureka Enviro Steamer that I got at Goodwill for a dollar and I cleaned all the hard floors in the house and I must say it does quite a nice job!
