The one thing I enjoyed about going to Catholic school (until 5th grade) was that all the families knew each other. Which meant I got to go to the homes of the other kids in schools often (after school and on Saturday). I got to see everyone's vacuum (always looking in closets). I knew what everyone had. I still remember those kids and their parent's cleaners today. Luckily, I have acquired most of those models today. I also paid attention to what kind of dishwasher and washing machines they all had as well.

That's......

an awesome start to vacuum knowledge and collecting!

We sort of lived out on the fringe of the county and so my mom was lazy about driving me places....especially to see friends. If she didn't like their moms, it was over. She was a kept woman, an artist and most definitely WEIRD. Once I got near driving age though, I took control of my life.

I'd like to say my childhood was full of vacuums/vacuuming memories, but that would be a lie. However, I see a common thread in this for some of the more prolific members here.
