VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Actually, there are people who

co-mingle. Some are members of both organizations, some browse between them as well.

Some get along very well. I'm sure we're all grateful for them.

Loyalty to a group, family, manufacturer, etc is so important.
I'm sure over the years, we've all met fiercely loyal friends. Others turned out to be, well, maybe not so much.

THank you,

Harley.

We've all been the topic of conversation, both good and bad. Most of us have a sense of humor, demonstrated by the things we do and say. Some criticize us, too.
I can laugh at myself and others, but NOT at their expense. It's really not nice to make fun of someone, especially when one doesn't really know the other.

At my mini meets, we all laugh, at everyone and everything. But, it's never vicious, hurtful, hateful, or even covert., Some people have been to my home numerous times, and will always be welcome there. Some have been there, but will never return , as the Late Joan Crawford said in her will after excluding Christopher and Christina from her will "for reasons which are well known to them'.

I just spoke with Chad and Sean last night. Talk about laughing.....the laughter will never stop. I can honestly say that, if you cannot get along with Sean Curry, then the fault lies with you. He 's an absolute riot. We get along so well, as Do I with so many others.

The others...................well...............it's ok. Dionne Warwick put it best, "Walk On By".

Personally, I find it saddening that there are vacuum cleaner collectors (a miniscule subset of humanity by any standard) who "don't get along well with others." Is it really necessary for such a tiny group of like-minded individuals to become splintered into opposing groups? We're talking about VACUUM CLEANERS, for crying out loud.......

Can't believe it........

24 hours from now I'll be in Chicago. I've waited, it seems, forever for this time to come.

My health is better. I've lost almost 20 pounds. And, best of all, I'm going to be ALONE!

Can't wait to see old friends who have been so supportive, new friends I haven't yet met.

Flying into Midway at 2:30 Chicago time and then on to the hotel. I'm ready to be of help wherever/whenever needed.

Did I mention I CAN'T WAIT??????

That's why I like being a fur. Lots of different groups of us but we all get along together at cons all over the many times throughout the year. Some cons are smaller around 100-500 people and some larger at upwards of 7,000. Always a great time.

We all just gotta learn to love each other. I am non biased to any sides of these groups

Me and Rick will be coming tomorrow - unfortunately my itty bitty Soul can hold so much lmao! Phillip, I'm still on several Chicago estate sale mailing lists from 2009 and I'll check for pre-sales
