Help Support VacuumLand:

Almost already packed to

I truly cannot wait to go this year last 4 weeks have been sure hell for me and I hope by the time this convention is I will be 100% better regardless I am going no matter how I feel. I have been suffering from Vertigo for 4 weeks now having problems standing, and walking. I have been to my physician and have a couple more tests to determine my cause of vertigo. Besides my little health drama the only thing that is making me happy is going to the convention this year and spending time with my good friend John and other friends of the Convention group.

Sam is coming to my house from Florida.

We're driving to Chicago. God help us!! It's about a 13 hour drive. Hopefully, neither of us will be riding in the trunk or as a hood ornament. We've always gotten along so well. It'll be memorable, I'm sure . I'm polishing up some items and filling the front living room with things to take. "Happy Dance"
John

I'm bringing vacs

Some are HOOVER, some are not. Some are for sale, trade, etc...
I'm also contributing a lot to the raffle.
We're making this convention easy, simple, streamlined, and FUN.
It'll be organized, etc. There are a few surprises...................
It will be wonderful to see everyone again as well as some new people.
John

We are picking up the rental car the afternoon of Wednesday, June 15th, and leaving at about 2 in the morning Thursday, June 16th from Birmingham to Chicago. We should make it there by about 5 or 6 Thursday evening.

I'm having "Vacuum" towels made for the conventi

I gave them to the monogram er yesterday. He's not surprised anymore. He plugs them into the machine and keeps them for me.
You'll be surprised to know I'm making Hoover, of course, Kirby, G.E. and Electrolux towels. I thought I'd make a nice array "across the board". I still have to get him the lux and Kirby logo.... He's started on the Hoover and GE.
It'll be fun, I'm sure.
John

The front livingroom is

WOW John!!

You have lots and lots of machines coming!! How fun. That is great that Sam Addison is coming.

I never got a chance to meet Austin Wilder but I know he lived in Missouri. Very knowledgeable about various vacuums and he maintained an overly meticulous home I heard!

oh, this is the weekend you're in town! Couldn't remember which weekend that was. It would be great to come to the convention. We did talk about that. I would have off that Friday from class but have class Monday.

I have been pondering and pondering what I want to bring and every time I figure it out Shaylee reminds me she has to be able to ride in the car too..... Women, what a kill joy. So I strapped her favorite rocking chair to the roof. I pray the over passes are high

Ready for a Road Trip

Like John, I'm renting a larger car than I own so that my vacuums can be properly escorted to their new forever homes. Tyler, Ken, Jon, Sam, Michael, and John will be receiving highly prized vacuums from my collection. I just visited Enterprise to confirm my rental will adaptable to my Suzy Homemaker stove and Sony Trinitron TV, so I can enjoy my frozen pizza and tuna melts and catching daytime drama while crossing the plains of America. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone, catching up, and lots of laughter. Safe travels.

Shaylee and I will be leaving in the morning (Tues) so we will have time to snoop around Chicago and eat some pizza. Don't worry I'm not hitting any thrift stores before everyone else gets there lol
