Hey guys,

So I was on the Aerus website and realized the guardian platinum was finally on it. They state the machine "Features an amazing 505 air watts and 116" of water lift", so I wanted context as I have no of the measuring devices. My daily driver, a dyson DC21, reportedly has a suction rating of 220 air watts, a full 285 lower than the lux, yet 110" water lift, only 6 less. What is the significance of these ratings? And what causes the similar water lift yet drastically different air wattage? Also, as I had observed earlier, the lux features 2 hepa filters. Does this not cause significant wear on the motor? could one be removed to decrease resistance and increase airflow? thanks!

Airwatts

(Airflow X Suction)/8.5 = airwatts.

A higher airflow rating gives it the drastically higher rating.

According to this formula your Dyson DC-21 has 17 cfm of airflow and your Lux has 37 cfm
