Read Consumer Reports Vacuum ratings today. Looks like they didn't rate any Aerus-Lux products, not even the Aerus Lux Guardian Platinum. Anyone know or have an idea why? Just wondering? Seems odd to me since they had in the past.

I wouldn't be able to venture a guess. I love my Guardian Platinum (I have two - one at home and one at the Museum). They clean like a dream and are high in quality. Seems like the very thing CR should be reporting on.

Could there simply have not been enough changes in the machines since the last time they were tested? If that's the case, they may not see it as worth their while to test what for them is essentially a hold over model from a previous year.

True. CU's ratings are always somewhat skewed by what models they choose to rate and it always seems to me that they pick somewhat obscure models that aren't always readily available. And this is true of all sorts of products, not just vacuum cleaners.

I haven't seen any DTD vacuum ratings in their latest tests.Do remember when they rate Rainbows CU gives those a LOW rating. Will have to keep watching their tests-I did subscribe to them again.Kinda missed them-even though I don't put much "weight" in their ratings.sometimes you see customers going to vacuum places and car dealers with a CU yearly ratings book under their arms!

In the Finland consumer reports tests quite often vacuums, but I haven't seen Aerus Lux Guardian Platinum Reviews (Lux intelligence here). Also other door to door vacuums like the Kirby, Rainbow, Vorwerk, HYLA etc are missing from te tests.
Still I often see people selling those in the Finnish auction sites. Kirby and Lux are the most common what I always see.
Typical price what people are asking:

Same here, it will be interesting to see how much airflow it has. Lux says 500 airwatts. Question is how much goes to the airflow and how much to the suction. My 2200 watt Philips has 108 cfm, but insane suction 144 inches of water. I hope Lux has more airflow. My mid 90's Lux Royal with only 1150 watt motor hass 100 cfm and 90 inches of water. So it would be logical new Lux to have more airflow.

Actually they have rated the Kirby Avalir. Quite positive rating. But I think that's the only DTD vacuum on CU's latest roster of vacuum ratings.
