VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

I have used one tablespoon of persil (miele's blue German liquid detergent) with my Affliction shirts just for the smell. Other than that I never use detergent. The LaundryPRO works for me.

Hey Tom

Was just reading this thread, & your experience with the Laundry Pro, & it got me thinking. Since you are a Rainbow owner, have you tried using the water from the Laundry Pro in your Rainbow? I have to wonder if the oxygenated water would help the Rainbow's water filtration system capture some smaller particles that would normally bypass the water filtration & only be caught by the HEPA filter. It could help your filters in the Rainbow last longer....and no harm in trying, after all, the Laundry Pro isn't producing a sudsing "detergent".

Hey Rob:
There's a valve that's optional for the Laundry Pro, whereby you can use the water it produces for mopping floors or shampooing carpets (with an extractor). I've used the water from the Laundry Pro in my Hoover Steam Vac, and it worked very well. Will have to try it in my Rainbow. I'm using distilled water now, as our water in Missouri is naturally hard with calcium and lime. For normal vacuuming, I use tap water. As my Rainbow has been running constantly on Air Wash mode since October (in my bedroom), that's why I use distilled water.

Call my friend, John Geyman (Aerus Electrolux Franchise Service Director). 478-788-8835. He will be happy to assist you.

And anyone wants one, I will ship. 336-545-1120. Mention vacuumland when you call.

As far as the price variation, some branches are allowed to have introductory prices when they first start to carry newer items. Aerus Corporate sets the price range, but there is various differences depending on the market you live in.

Tom, that is a neat idea! Never thought to use the water from the Laundry Pure in a carpet extractor, but it would make sense the oxygenated water would help to loosen soils & dirt, & perhaps maybe use less carpet extractor detergent too.

Rob

I actually used the water with NO detergent at all, in my Hoover Steam Vac Max Extract. Cleaned the rugs well (I did 'rinse' - which means I went over the rug twice), and found the rug to be thoroughly clean. There are even professional carpet cleaners who use that oxygenated water exclusively, I think they are called "No Residue" or something that like.
