Joe,

You are correct on the year. Serial numbers don’t lie. It was somewhere in that time frame of 90, 91, 92. I remember mom purchasing the convertible because my parent’s had just purchased ten acres of land. My parent’s had also purchased a used single wide trailer home that needed a lot of cleaning. The A bag in the convertible filled up quickly.

Anyway, Glad you like the porta power. And that it works well for you.

What I'd like to know is why CWP doesn't make a replacement brushroll for the Hoover Concept I/II and Celebrity Powermatic? There's still enough of them out there I would think it would be worthwhile. And for that matter, why not a Dial-A-Matic replacement? ;-)

The probably make them for Convertibles because Hoover still makes the Guardsman models. I'm sure if Hoover discontinued them parts would dry up pretty quick.
Just my two cents.

How can I tell if a Convertible is "high performance" or not?

How good does a CWP or genuine Hoover 4-brush brush roller work on low pile carpet?

I know I am not directly answering your question but…

…@floor-a-matic: Do you know (or perhaps anyone else) of any sites that carry the genuine hoover brushroll like the one in the last picture? I am having difficulty finding one; I even tried ordering what I expected to be an OEM part only to receive a CWP.
