I just got this Advance and found out the fan is trashed. Does this take a regular Eureka upright fan? How hard is it to change? Is there a way to use the household outer bags with the two hole mounting? There are no holes in the base. I don't want to use this bag it has a huge hole in the front.
Thanks in advance (ha get it)
Nicholas

This is a rebadged Sanitaire. They are easy as pi to fix. You can pop the top to gain access to the motor. Then, remove four screws that hold the motor down, and pry the motor up with a screwdriver. You now have access to the fan.

About the bag, you can buy a new Sanitaire red or black shakeoout bag for under $20.

Wow,I present you the award for ' most destroyed fan'! It's a super-easy fix. You can always fix the pretty Advance bag, but F&G bags are totally available for the Sanitare version!

Update.

I got a new fan today and took the motor out to replace it. I found some big cracks in the base so I'm going to part this one out. I can use the 6.5 amp pancake motor to hot rod a wimpy 3.5 amp blender motor Eureka I have. And I have another Eureka I want to put the metal handle on. The parts are worth the $8 I paid so I'm not out anything.

Here she is ready for business. New bag, new fan, larger motor, this thing is a beast. When I first ran it it pulled the carpet up so much it would stall the brushroll. I swaped in a used Covertible belt that was pretty stretched and now it works awesome! You can see how well it grooms the carpet. The heart of the Advance lives on.
