Adapter for Lux model CB?????

Hey all, I own a little vacuum repair shop and am trying to get a gentleman's old machine running again...I really like to see the older well-made machines continuing on rather than selling them a new one made to break shortly after the warranty...

It is an old CB shop vac style machine. I have looked through several of the threads here and would swear up and down that someone mentioned an adapter plate available somewhere that would allow a newer motor to be put in... but simply cannot find it. I have looked for about 3 hours now. Can anyone offer some advice?

CB motor

If you are replacing CB motor with one from same era tank Elux you will sometimes fin d that round and rectangular mounting plate will interchange using existing screw holes.

Zack, There is an adapter plate that you can buy it is for a Model L Electrolux to allow it to use a Lamb style Motor in it, however the diameter of the Lamb motor fans are slightly larger than the original Electrolux Motors, it can be modified, I specialize in making "Monster Vacs" I have taken a Miele Lamb motor and put an Electrolux Model L adapter plate on it, I had to file the 4 tabs on the CB housing to accommodate the larger motor, but it can be done, I have one home which we use to vacuum our cars, this CB has amazing suction. If you don't want to play around modifying the  housing, then you can buy a replacement model L motor from you supplier it has very small diameter fans, it drops right in, but doesn't have a tremendous amount of suction. Or the other alternative is to find an old Model L and use that motor or just rebuild the old motor that was in there, you have many choices. Good Luck.
