I have owned my Rainbow for over 2 years and it is the ONLY machine I use. It has been used to clean the garage floor, screened porch, shampoo carpets with the Auqamate and wet clean my hard surface floors. It has seen a LOT of use.

The reason I am posting is that I broke the spring on one of the latches for the electric hose coupling to the machine.

I wanted to give my Rainbow dealer a AAA for service. I sent an email and he IMMEDIATLEY sent the replacement part to my house, no questions asked. It even came with simple instructions and he included information about the other new Rainbow accessories like the new Minijet portable shampoo system and the Supermop.

Difficult to find that kind of service today. My dealer is located in Texas.
Ken Bashford put on Rainbow demonstrations at one of our Vac Conventions.
Not often that new products and SERVICE far exceed our expectations!
Thank you Ken for your service.

I agree.

Fantastic customer service is not only desired, but expected. The Rainbow distributors make over $1500 profit when they sell a Rainbow for 'retail' price (they cost about $550 from the manufacturer), so every customer should be treated like gold and given the 'red carpet treatment'. This is, sadly, not always the case.

AAA Service on my Rainbow

Tom,
I could not agree more with you!
I remember well when you had your Vac Shop. A small business has so much overhead like rent, lights, gas, water, insurance, inventory, employees etc. It sometimes seems like such a huge mark up but the BIG BOX stores have so many different things they are selling and making money on where the small business has fewer different items and must provide good customer service.
I would still rather buy a high quality Ricarr, Kirby, Aerus or Rainbow and not have to replace it every few years.
People think nothing of paying $2000.00 for a new front load washer and dryer or 3 door refrigerator that MAY last 10 years. I less than 7 years I have replaced the compressor I my new refrigerator for $500.00, replaced the magatron tube in the built in microwave and replaced the washer and dryer and also a water conditioner that were all top of line equipment from Whirlpool.

I had an Electrolux Super J

back in the late 80s, with a PN-2.  The power nozzle developed problems, so I called the nearest Electrolux office, which was almost 50 miles away, and they sent a man and a lady to me on a service call.  They brought me a loaner to use while my PN was repaired, plus some free bags.  About a week later, they returned with my repaired nozzle, and that was it.  I don't remember the exact cost, but at the time I thought it was reasonable.  Not the first time I heard of Electrolux going out of their way to take care of a customer.
