I took a Crosley cartridge and carefully reduced its size to fit in a '48 Truetone radio/78 record player combo -- and believe it or not it sounds pretty good too for being a piece of cheapo Crosley. I guess a non-plastic tone arm and a good 'Ol tube amp makes just about all the difference in the world.

Wow!!!

Good work! There are some in the record player society that have been trying to do the same thing with next to no luck.

Thanks!

Well, it takes you messing up two or three time before you finally get it just right, and, BOY, a whole lot of cussing in-between.

Jae,

I really do appreciate that very much,  its been hard work at times, but it also has been fun in a kind of tormenting way too! I would say it has been probably 50/50, no...no, more like 60/40 in favor of agony, but when you learn it, you learn it. Now, it would take a 2x4 to drive it out of your head!

PS. Once again many thanks!
