i wonder

if the queen still has her two hoovers that were wedding presents from Hoover when she got married if she has i bet they have never been used at least not by her

HOOVER sent her two?

That was nice. I also, can't see "Betty" vacuuming those long hallways. Can you just see here 'flipping a mattress"?
I flip all of mine twice a year. Doesn't anyone do this stuff anymore?
I'll bet, at the very least, those 2 HOOVERS had deluxe tools, lolol.

I still flip my mattress John! It is the same age as me (17 years old) and still feels perfect. Not so hard that it is uncomfortable but not so soft it makes my back ache.

People waste mattresses these days by not flipping them and then within a few years they feel "soggy" and the owners spend hundreds replacing them.

Silly people!!

Another thing to do - either every time you change your bedding or flip the mattress - is to vacuum the mattress. Just get a Hoover upholstery tool, fire up that Senior (Convertible) and vacuum out all those bed bugs etc... Of course, you need a fresh bag to do this as that is the only time the suction is half decent with those converters.

forget the tools

guys i just put the Senior straight onto the mattress it works a treat try putting in a fresh bag first then have a look afterwards as for the queens vacuums i bet they were put back in there boxes and forgotten about

Well ...

I really don't know about that. I remember the suction on my mom's Hoover Convertible 1060 was so anemic as to be nearly pointless to really suck up anything but loose surface dust.

I dont flip my mattress

because I cant mine is a memory foam where the memory foam is the majority but under that there are springs so if i flip it over i get a hard plate where the springs rest but I do vacuum it with my vacuum that im using at the time

The Queen's vacuums

Hoover gave the Queen two cleaners as wedding gifts - a 160 (then TOL, a sort of hybrid of the 150 and 25) and a not yet released 402 - this had chromed ends rather than painted metal that made it into the production machine

Even if you can't flip it over at least turn it around.

I vacuum my matress everytime I can be bothered to change the bedding.

It sickens me to say, my sheets have not been changed in about a month or even two!!!!!! Disgusting, I know, I am gonna do it today I think!

I have a top bunk so it is a big effort to change them, but it really shouldn't be an excuse.[this post was last edited: 8/3/2013-04:23]

“Just get a Hoover upholstery tool, fire up that Senior (Convertible) and vacuum out all those bed bugs etc“

Are you serious?! You would probably get more suction power from a blender!

Also I hope you mean to vacuum up dust mites because bed bugs are entirely different, those can be an infestation!
