Hi, I got a e-mail from a collector who has set up his website showing off some of their vacuums.

I believe he's italien so unless you can read italien you will just have to look at the pictures.

There seems to be some nice looking vacs on there.

I thought I would stick this thread in the household forum as if I put it in the miscellaneous forum younger members might not get to know about it.

Thanks for sharing your friend's website. What an awesome collection and amazing dossier; so comprehensive, detailed and well-organized! He would likely make a sterling vacuum museum curator.

New vacuum cleaner collection site

Dear collectors and friends,
there’s something new on the net that could keep you company for a few good moments:

http://www.vacuumcleanercollection.com/

a website dedicated to my Italian collection of vacuum cleaners, which I finally succeeded in publishing online.
I hope that this will be a welcome gift for collectors, such as discovering and visiting you web sites it has always been for me to.

Have a nice trip

This is awesome!

Hey, I did not even know that someone keeps these old goodies.

Most collectors' sites just handle the main brands but this one even cares about the lesser known and about the battery table vacs, how neat is that?

I do remember more than 20 of those machines there and I thought they were gone. Some of them may look quite trifle to you but in fact they were amazing! Good that they are not lost in history now.

Thanks for sharing, that website is great and I love the retro look. Well done. I love the logo, too ;-D

Its a very interesting site. Do you have the parts for all of the machines as well (I noticed a lot of the pictures have no parts with them) Would love to see them too

New vacuum cleaner collection site

Hi, not all of the machines in my collection are complete with accessories. For those of which I own accessories, in time I plan to add the images that are now missing. Thank you very much for your appreciation!

A GREAT COLLECTION !!!!!!!

As soon as I found this new site - few weeks ago - i immediately wrote to Andrea Porcile for congratulate with him. Andrea did this new online-museum in the best way possible : easy to navigate, very well done photos and - for the very first time online - there are some REALLY RARE european machines - vacuum cleaners, vacuum brushes and floor polishers - that you will find nowhere else on the internet, many of them with original material, ADs or instruction booklets.
Hope one day to be able to do the same with my collection : this new online museums might hopefully create a fresh new interest in this great machines from the past. And maybe people might take their "OLDIES BUT GOODIES" vacuums out from the barn and put them for sale for collectors instead of throwing them in the scrap like most of people usually do here in italy ! Cheers , GUIDO
