Old friends of mine from where I grew up just moved into assisted living. Their 2 sons are cleaning out the house. They have been married 59 years, and kept everything, in pristeen shape, many things in the box.

The wife was a clean freak..So, it was all very organized. If they bought something new, they just kept the old one.

Long story short, I got me a Hoover Sprint broom vac. It is blue, 2 speed. Great shape and works like a charm. I had one of these many years ago, and broke it. So, I was very happy to get it

I also got some cool serving bowls, some figurines to put in an antique secretary that was my Grandparents. Also 5 like new matching webbed lawn chairs, and a like new
Osterizer blender in chrome with avocado trim.It still says John Oster Co. made in Milwaukee on the base, so it is from before Sunbeam bought them out. It weighs a ton, and is real chrome finish over steel, unlike the silver colored plastic they call chrome today.

I almost bought 2 Sunbeam Mixmasters, but I got rid of my mixer collection last year when I moved.

I paid a big 54.00 for the whole works. I am very happy!

I remember the runabout line of machines very well. God it's hard to believe how old this line of Hoovers are now. Yes they were Kmart. I never had the broom but I had the first green Runabout upright. I remember telling Mom I needed it because it had tools and my old blue Elite didn't have tools of course she gave in. ;)

Phillip....you old scoundrel you!! Getting Mom to buy you a new Hoover Runabout, when she could have just gotten you an attachment kit with converter for tool use. Well, whatever tricks you have up your sleeve, I need to learn them too LOL. :-)
