I finally got a machine that i have been after for awhile, and i know a few people that have said they want to see the machine up close. So why not do some detailed pictures?

a 90's Bissell Lift Off.
This is the top of the line one. They made 2 or 3 others that did have have all of these features.
This one actually has a clutch. When you're done with the carpet and you want to do the above floor, when you put it into the upright position the brushroll actually just shut off, as well as the headlight.

From the pictures you will be able to see that the nozzle of the machine is no more than a huge power nozzle when the 'lift off' vacuum is attached to it.

Overall this is a FUN machine. I have a brand new filter on order (you can still get them!) and i recently replaced the belt and gave the entire thing a cleaning. I must say it is a very fun machine to use. It looks like a huge shampooer, but really it is very lightweight and easy to maneuver.

For those who were curious about the machine, Enjoy the photos!

Kyle -

Are you able to make a youtube video of this in action? If you could that would be amazing!!! I've always wondered what these sounded like lol

Lift away!

Way back when i remember seeing these on the rosie o'donnell show along with some kid who loved vacuums. They looked so cool when i was younger

Wow I don't remember that one!! I remember the green ones and the red one. When I was a kid in the early 90's I always wanted one but they were $200.00.
Last year I finally got 2 of the green ones, a 7 amp and 12 amp. They are kind of a cool machine. The ones I have aren't called lift off I think they just say Bissell Plus?

I saw one of the green ones at a thrift store here earlier today for $6. It had a few attachments but it was dirty and partly broken. I wanted to by it, but the latch on the back that releases the canister was broken. Congrats on the Bissell Kyle! It looks great!

OMG.....

i was just thinking about that Rosie show from Christmas 0f 1995 or 1996!!!!..i saw that when it originally aired, when she had the little cleaning "contest" with the kid.....if your on here please tell us!!!!! i and other's would love to hear about that...=)

Omg I remember that vacuum cleaner my friend use to have one back when I was in grade one or two and I would use it every time I went there it never worked right but I think that's is due to all the pet hair clogged inside but of course since I was young I couldn't take it apart but thanks for the memories.

I've always wanted one of those and I've never even seen one in person except at the stores when they first came out... The handle release mechanism is fascinating!
