Romain,

This limited edition was handed out as a sales award to those Kirby dealers that sold a lot of the regular Traditions, and less than 200 of these were known to be built. Although it is fully functional, its special name implied that this cleaner was meant to be a work of art rather than a typical weekly vacuum cleaner. The inside of the cloth bag was known to deteriorate over time if used as a normal vacuum.

Most of the trim pieces, except for the bag cap, wheels and headlight cap trim, are similar to those for the Classic Omega 1-CB.

This limited edition is even rarer in continental Europe (including in France where you are), where it calls for 240 volt wall outlets.

BTW, I also see the rare speed switch cover (if you look at the picture of the nozzle and brush roll) that was supposed to protect it from moisture whenever the cleaner was used with the Rug Renovator attached to it.

Ben, this vacuum is in Greeley, Colorado. It was never awarded in Europe. I don't think anyone in Europe can get one due to the cost. Maybe the only person that has the money to get one is ibaisaic.

I think I have to agree with you about that, considering how rare the regular blue-trim Tradition was over there.

I remember one user from England had a Golden Trophy version -- 2cvbloke -- but I believe his was also imported from the USA.

Ben, you are right! That would be the same person. They used the same photos from their Vacuumland post for the ebay auction. lol

It looks like $200 was the magic price because it's got a bite. $250 shipping - not sure about that one.
