Hey everyone,

Thought I'd post a few pics of my latest acquisitions. First up, an Electrolux 502 and 502S. Both a very late examples dating from 1979 and 1983 respectively. The 502 is in need of a new bumper, as you can see, but otherwise it works just fine. The 502S actually has an 800w contour motor in it and boy does it stick to the floor! Just goes to show that the contour really could've been brilliant.

The 502 is going to our very own Joe and the 502S is my current daily driver for downstairs.

Next up is this lovely Hoover Turbopower 2. Sadly it's got a Candy rating sticker so I can't date it. I love the colour of this one. It's a bit battered but should come up lovely. Big thank you to Alex for picking this up and fetching it over for me.

And last but by no means least, a Hotpoint 3650 Super. These are getting quite rare now. It's got a 450w dirty fan motor and the cord rewind works a treat. This is the first of this style from about 1984. The later style had a more curved bagged door. Interestingly, the deluxe model came with a dry cleaning feature, a bit like Zorb/Duo-P. Both the super and the electronic deluxe were available in either cream or maroon. I believe there was also a brown model available prior to this.

Thank you to Charlie for spotting this one and holding onto it for me.

lux 502 furniture guard.

Chris,

I'm pretty sure I have a brand new genuine one amongst my lux boxes.

Its yours for the cost of the postage!

I'll check over the weekend and confirm that it still exists: I remember being allowed to rumage through the old lux spares drawer at a cleaner/washer repairs (estab 1969) in Stafford when looking for Z65 parts when I came across the bumper and thought...hmn...I'll have that if its a reasonable price?

Regards, Walter (Shropshire)

502 bumper screws

Joe,

If Chris doesn't want it you can certainly have it for say £2 as I'm sure it wasn't much more plus postage.

Sorry, but there are no screws.

Regards, Walter.
