Hey Guys:

Monday I received another shipment of Vacuums from England (Thank you once again Al).

These machines were fairly hard to find so without further adieu here are the Electrolux's.

First the Electrolux model Z91a (1969-1971). Unfortunately no parts with this one but, as they were the same as the Z100, they shouldnt be too difficult to find.

The Electrolux Z390 (1985-87). Still have to find the flip over rug nozzle, crevice tool, turbo nozzle and exhaust adapter for this one.

Great

Thanks for sharing, I wonder how these compare with American Luxes, I know the Canadian models are as a whole, much more powerful than their American counterparts.

New cleaners

There are certainly some rarities in this shipment as the 91, 710 and 390 are seldom seen. But of the three of them its the 91 I am most pleased with - in 16 years looking on ebay I have never seen one of these before (the one I have was purchased privately as part of a number of cleaners). Although it looked rough I did suspect that it was mostly a lot of surface dirt and Doug has done a great job of cleaning it up. It was at a bargain price too which makes it even better :)

The Norvac was one of the very few "private label" version of the Lux cleaners back in the 1950s & 1960s and is largely based on the Electrolux 55 which ran from 1951 to 1957. The 55 had a restyle with new tools to become the 62 - this was quite a short lived model as it was replaced by the "all new" Electrolux 65 in 1960. In the 62 the hose inlet is higher to facilitate paper gags.

The Electrolux 30/55/62 series were very similar to the Canadian post war 30/54/55 models although the tools were different (we retained the use of the same rug nozzle from the 1920s until around 1956) and the Canadian versions where on runners where the European models were on gliders - one could spend many enjoyable hours on Doug's excellent site comparing all the differences :)

Awesome, Doug. Congrats!

I especially like the Z91A's scarlet color and body style.

lux 91 and normal.

Hello Doug,

I remember the 91 coming out,but not the precise year?

All will most probably be able to tell us.

I may have a floor/carpet nozzle for it, if I have would you like it?

about a year ago I won, on ebay,a norvac nb50; it was only ten miles down the road.

Mine has the 62 dark green ends.

Al,

How are you these days?

I have that 65 I promised you and a very nice 11 if you'd like it?

Regards to you both,

Walter.
