Other than the end of the wand it looks like the previous owner took exceptional care of it. What year do you think it is?

It's a Canadian Electrolux, Model ZB86, sold from 1963 to 1968. A rare bird these days. I'd certainly recommend getting it!

I have several Canadian machines -- a ZB30, two ZB55s and a ZB89. The ZB89, which I bought from Doug Smith, is the most complete one, including a fearsome-looking shag rug tool. Here are some photos of my ZB89. (The photos of me using my ZB89 are pretty old -- back when I still had red hair, courtesy of Lady Clairol! hahaha!!)

Those Canadian Machines

Those Canadian machines look like fun. Why were they made separately and so differently than US machines? Could it be that American consumers preferred te simplicity of the combination tools and not having to change a rear filter? That's just a guess. Does anybody know?
