I'm mostly a canister, backpack or central vacuum person but I do have one upright, the Sebo Felix mainly because it provides much of the same flexibility that a canister provides, and that got me to thinking about Sebo's different upright series. There are four different series and I'm wondering if Sebo had a particular market in mind or if it's just personal preference.
First is the Automatic X series, I'm guessing this is mostly designed for commercial use although I think it's used in homes as well, I guess the main thing this series is known for is the automatic height adjustment.

Then there is the Sebo Felix. In my opinion this is the best upright that is currently on the market, it's well made, cleans very well and is the only upright I know of that allows you to attach a hard floor brush, you can also use it as a hand held unit though it's rather large for that, but it works. I'm thinking this series is more designed for homes than commercial.

Then there is the essential G series, I'm not really sure what the market for this series is, it kind of sounds like a commercial cleaner, similar to the automatic x but with manual height adjustment.

And finally there is the mechanical series, this sounds very similar to the essential G so not sure what the market is for this series.

Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on each of these series, I think Sebo is one of the best, if not the best vacuum manufacturer that's still around.

huge Sebo fan

I own 4 felix vacs, and just recently purchased a Windsor Sensor S2 (Sebo mechanical equivalent). Really love the build quality and performance sebo brings to the table. Love the fact you can tear them down and clean / repair easily vs other vacs. Haven't used my Sensor S2 yet just arrived a few days ago. But so far the build and how its designed is genius. Just pulling off the bag door wow that is some heavy duty plastic. I bought the S2 for commercial use, I always seem to have cord issues so the S2 having easy cord replacement, no electronics in the body of the vac and all the electronics in the base/ head of the vac is wonderful. I do wish they would have kept the brush roll replacement vs brush strips but I'll see if that's a huge issue overtime. I also really like the big hepa or s-class post filter on the S2.

The manufacture also have commercial lines of the same thing called either Windsor or Karcher. Sebo is the brand that is particularly sold for home use.

Sebo did previously had another upright from their website that's now been discontinued called the 370 Comfort/Electronic (My personal favorite and Sebo's top of the line upright at the time). Also known as the Versamatic Plus from the commercial line that's also been discontinued.
