Spinscrub 50 vs Proheat Revolution 2x Pet

Currently have a Spinscrub 50 and am getting a Proheat Revolution for free straight from Bissell (not sure why but I'm not questioning it) am wondering what machines you prefer.

Both have gallons tanks but Hoover's design while flimsier than the older models has stay pretty much the same and the bissell's design seems much slimmer and vacuum like.
The reason I'm kinda torn on these two is that the Hoover uses their signature spin brushes and bissell uses two brush bars.

Dont really have room for two so I'll probably give the other one to a family member.

Bissell

Proheat 2 is the carpet cleaner I have had experience with.
I'd recommend the Bissell proheat revolution.
I bought a couple carpet cleaners and it's basically easier to use and effective.

i used to have hoover spinscrub classic (pre-2000) & it did OK; but I got rid of it when I aquired a Rinsenvac RV-85 with PB-850 wand which outcleaned the SpinScrub

Since you already own the Spinscrub and are expecting to get the Proheat soon. I'd say try them both out out to see which you would prefer over the other. Out of curiosity, is Bissell sending you the Proheat brand new or refurbished? I hope it's not a refurbished one.

Now having used and repaired both of these machines, I would much rather have the Hoover over the Bissell. I like the hose and the attachments better, tanks are bigger, I like the smell of their solutions, and they seem to be more reliable. Bissell I will say though that it can do a better job at deep cleaning carpets but I have seen that they break more than the Spinscrubs and Bissell is really difficult to deal with their warranty support.

Hoover customer service is not currently better than Bissell. Bissell has made a big push promoting there new crosswave.
Hoover is in China with many other vacuum brands owned by the same company. If I'm wrong I'm sorry but if there pushing vacuums there staffed for increased of customers from the sales push.
The Hoover is temperamental on what you put in it. The Bissell is not temperamental on what you put into it.
The Bissell is easier to clean and it's easier to operate.
I could be biased but the Hoover we returned and got the proheat.
I'm pointing out my experiences. Panasonicvac has different experience. I'm not calling his bad or mine good. I'm saying we have different views.

Update

After comparing carefully I I found the Bissell to be better better in some aspects two important to me.

Tank sizes on both was is one gallon. Bissell's looks smaller but holds the same on the clean tank. I think dirty tank on the Hoover holds a liiiittle but more due to its shape but both open up for cleaning.

The build quality on the Bissell which really won me over was much better. I haven't used a classic Steamvac so I can't compare the quality but TTI cheaped out on the entire handle. It's very flimsy/wobbly and the suction door for the hose sounds like the tabs are going to snap off if opened and closed too much. The Bissell has an aluminum top handle and the hole body just feels more solid. The top tank

Back to the tanks the Hoover had locks on both tanks while the Bissell only had one on the dirty tank but the top handle piece will hold it good as long as you dont do anything crazy with it. The Hoover has a separate reservoir for Shampoo which... I'm not sure I have an option on but it let's you rinse with water only. The plug on the bottom of the Hoover's clean tank isn't as good since water drips out from it.

The hose is much easier to connect on the Bissell since the Shampoo hose and suction port on connected on the hose and both just plug in to the machine whereas on the Hoover it separates.

The accessories are on par with each other but the Hoover includes a turbine powered brush which is something the Bissell Bissell dosen't include in box

I didn't have any stains or big mess to do through side by side test (honestly didn't want try to stain the rugs) but they seemed close but the Bissell seems to do a bit better.

The Bissell has an heater for the water and the Hoover only seems to have a "blow dryer" for the flow from what I gather which makes the "Forced Heat" gimmick seem deceptive.


Both have an hard floor attachment which I might try out sometime.



Anyways that was my comparison I guess I think both look nice and preform well but I think the Proheat will hold up better in the long run. But as I said before I never used one but this one but I think the Powerscrub is very different from the original steamvac at least build quality wise.

My Take

I haven't tried any of the newer carpet scrubbers. That said, my first carpet cleaner experience was with the original Hoover Steam Vac Dual V that my family bought brand new in 2002 and after ten years of heavy use and a clean water tank replacement, it finally made its way to the curb on Garbage day.

To replace it, I got a new Bissell Pro Heat Pet (original pro heat design) for my birthday and that went out after three years of moderate use as the ends on the brushrolls got lint trapped in them and they melted. I hated the design of the two tanks in one, they were hard to clean and I never trusted the bladder to hold up and keep the dirty water from getting sprayed back into the carpet. The only thing I liked about it was the built in heater.

To replace that, I got another Steam Vac Dual V (pre TTI manufactured in Jan 2005) at my local Goodwill for $10, which I still have four years after purchase. It had no attachments and I found out quickly why it was donated, it had the notorious leaky clean water/soap tank issue. I bought a brand new tank (improved redesign) off of Amazon, and bought the attachments used off of eBay. The hose I bought needed a new sprayer and trigger, which I bought cheap on partswarehouse.com. After I did that, it works like a charm and I use it for all my carpet/upholstery cleaning and car detailing needs. I hope it runs for years to come, as I don't want a TTI steam vac or another Bissell with that flawed brushroll design.

So for me, with my experience, I prefer Hoover, but I haven't tried any "new" carpet cleaner since 2015 when my mom bought herself a new original design (though made by TTI) Steam Vac, and while not as good as the Dual Vs, I still preferred it to the Bissell.

I do want a Bissell crosswave. My wife bought me a tineco cordless. Its for tile and most not carpet area. The 2 you had to choose from look compact and we'll built. Congrats
