While Eureka is known for its "Types" (successive changes and/or upgrades beginning with Type A), it's uncommon for the same model to have several different color schemes; instead the differences are often other features such as the brush roll, motor amps, and bag cover. The model 2010, which premiered in late 1969 and rolled off the assembly line for about five years, is an exception.

The most obvious difference between Types A & B is the handle grip; although it may have contained others variations even as minute as a screw according to a retired Eureka executive. I just discovered Type BH in a current eBay listing that appears to be enameled in Gold Mist like the Vanguard model 2080's bag cover, Cordaway casing & base and other models in the color set, and the Type RY was initially posted at VL by eurekaboy.

I have taken for granted that all model-types were produced in succession rather than concurrently, but the 2010 may be an exception to this, as well.

Btw, in the '70s Canadian Eureka model IDs were prefixed with an 'E' in direct correlation to their US counterpart model IDs. Attachment #2 featuring model-type E2010-A, originally posted at VL by funvacfan, is an example.

I am unaware of any VL posters—or anyone else for that matter—who have collected different types of the same model, so that would be a unique undertaking.
