Anyone who has spent any amount of time on this site knows there are differing opinions about bagless vacuums shared here. In this thread, however, let’s share everyone’s favorite bagless vacuums without any dissing of bagless vacuums.

Although the majority of my collection is bagged, I do have a few bagless vacuums. Personally, I have a soft spot for cyclonic vacuums, particularly those with Dyson roots.

I'll probably face the firing squad but I do think the Eureka Altima is the best bagless I have come across yet. I used it heavily in 2014 and it would always fill up 3-4 times in one hour's use. It has great suction power and can pull itself along the floor in the upright position.

Dyson DC40 MKII
Very easy and light to use. Cyclonic system is the best I have seen. Minimal filter maintenance needed. Not quiet, but pleasant tone (not a screamer). Quite good build quality.
MKII cleaning head is the highlight of this vacuum.
Older Dysons are known for their weak agitation, but this is very good. Only downside is very low airflow. This can't truly deepclean.

The Bissel lift off Revolution

A Bissel from the early 2000s. This thing was a bit heavy but was bulit much better than the ones they make now. The plastic was pretty solid, it had brush roll shut off next to the power button and cleaned pretty well. In my opinion the single cyconle was easier to maintenance than vacs with multiple small ones.

The World's First Bagless and NO loss of Suction

I love bagless cleaners. And I don't care what the Kirby snobs say. My all time favorites are really two: The Rexair "Rainbow" and the H P Vacuflo Central Vac. Both have No loss of suction technology and both predate the Dyson by decades. I also like the Dyson (especially the DC17 Absolute).

I would have to say Rainbow or Filter Queen are top followed by Water-matic and Silver King (however I rig them up to take bags lol)
Amway and Fantom are my favorite bagless uprights.
I also like my only Dyson that I have, it's dc07

That's almost a tough one for me. I also prefer bagged vacuums as well but there's lots of bagless vacuums that I really like. And there are still lots of bagless vacuums that I want to add in my collection. Here are my list of bagless vacuums that I like the most.

For a collectible vacuum, I would say a green Fantom Fury either a 10 or 12 amp version but I like the 12 amp version better.

For the most funnest bagless upright I've ever used, I would say the Amway ClearTrak or currently known today as the Workhorse.

For the most powerful bagless upright I've ever used, I would say the first generation Kenmore Progressive.

Keep in mind that those were only just uprights. I really dislike canisters so I don't have favorites for those. For stick vacuums, I've always liked the blue Hoover Quick Broom Cyclonic Bagless the best. For hand vacuums, I've always liked the Eureka Step Saver the best. And for Wet/Dry vacuums, I've always liked the black Craftsman models the best. Now moving on to my personal favorite, central vacuums.

Vacumaid has always been my favorite central vacuum brand. The best central vacuum that I've ever used is the Vacumaid SilentPartner S-3200. But my personal favorite one which is one of my top 3 favorite vacuum cleaners of all time is the vintage 1982 Vacumaid P-125 with the electric kit.

If bagless is so great, how come one just crapped out on me? What about the people who bring their broken baglesses to me to fix? I feel that that statement you made about the "Kirby snobs" was made to start a fight. It's not just the "Kirby snobs" who say bagged is better, it's the "Riccar, Meile, Sanitaire, Aerus, Oreck and Sebo Snobs" as well. Bagless is just as bad if not worse to empty than the shakeout bags of the early 20th century.

separator water filtration machines

The only bagless machines I like are the separator water vacs, that Rotho unit doesn't sound like it has a separator so it's probably a mess to clean out. The Rainbow, Sirena, Vivenso, Quantum, Hyla, Ritello, and Roboclean are all good machines. Other than that I prefer bagged machines. The dry bagless vacuums usually allow dust to go all over when dumping them out. When I first got my Beam central vacuum unit, it was bagless and after emptying that a couple of times I decided that I would either try to convert it to use bags or sell it for a cheap price. Fortunately converting it to use bags was very simple.

The Fantom Fury! It was my family's first bagless vacuum. I believe we owned the 10 amp version which was sold on the infomercial. I've said it before and I'll say it again: We sadly had to get rid of it in the summer of 2001 upon moving to our current home.

For so many years, I searched for another Fantom Fury, but it had been unsuccessful until a few months ago; user electroluxxxx emailed me, stating that he had access to a few Fantom Furies and was more than willing to refurbish one for me. So I jumped right on it; following an exchange of emails and text messages, he refurbished a 12 amp Fantom Fury for me and shipped it to my house in March. Coincidentally, it arrived on St. Patrick's Day; on the day of good luck, I was finally reunited with my childhood vacuum cleaner!

I used the Fury as my daily driver, and then two weeks later, it died! The motor fried; I don't know what happened to it, considering that the Fantom, being an early dual-cyclonic vacuum, had a lot of dust pass through the motor. A month ago, I was cleaning my laminate floors and the vacuum worked perfectly fine, but then I tried using it on a rug, and it came on and promptly quit working. Now I have to mail the motor to electroluxxxx so he can fix it for me.

Enough rambling; here's a pic of it.

You are so correct Hans. How could I forget about the Mc Allister bag less? This one came from the late Clay Floyd's collection.
