We do know that 2025 marks 25 years since the year 2000 hit. What were Hoover, Bissell, Dirt Devil, and Eureka all doing in the year 2000? What products did they put out that year, alongside redesign or discontinue?

Everyone knows that at the time, Hoover was owned by Maytag, Dirt Devil wasn't owned by TTi, Eureka wasn't owned by the Chinese, and Bissell got involved with the Korean electronics company Samsung.

That explains it.

Also in the year 2000, Euro-Pro was a thing. Fantom was still owned by Iona and made up in Canada.

Kenmore and Panasonic were also involved back then too, and so was Sanyo and Sharp.

Oreck wasn't owned by TTi back then either.

Simplicity and Riccar used to be so much better back then.

The year 2000 was synonymous with life pre-9/11, Al Gore losing the election to George W Bush, the Playstation 2 coming out as the cheapest DVD player at the time (it was $300 when it first came out), and when Steve Jobs was still with Apple (the iPod wasn't a thing back then), among others. Even back then, bubblegum pop/teen pop was still there, only for its relevence to quickly fade away a year or two later.

Didn't IONA started assembling Fantoms in the states at the time? I know they did but wasn't sure when though.

Riccar and Simplicity weren't exactly better back then at least in the year 2000. They've made some improvements over the years and later expanded. The only thing I can think of that were better back then are the paper disposable bags, the new ones today don't filter as well but thankfully we now have cloth bags.

Indeed

Actually Eureka (and Sanitaire) were owned by Electrolux AB since 1974. But in 2000, Aerus LLC formerly known as Electrolux Corp. USA, sold the Electrolux naming rights back to Electrolux AB and later renamed the company Aerus in 2004. But before the transfer was completed, there was a time when both companies teamed up and produced a commercial upright called a Sanitaire VPS in either red or black.

We do know that Bissell's alliance with Samsung began in the year 2000. In the year 2000, Korean music was not about over-the-top dance tracks like Gangnam Style...no, it was more about those R&B-centered Korean ballads, something that would gladly fit in a Michael Bolton, Celine Dion, or Whitney Houston album. Case in point, the artists Kim Dong-ryul and Lena Park Jung-hyun. The kind of music my Ghanian nanny would gladly allow in her house.

Can you imagine me vacuuming out a Hyundai, Daewoo, or Kia vehicle with a bagged Samsung-era Bissell while the background song is a Korean R&B ballad (example: PS I Love You by Lena Park Jung-hyun)? I bet my reward at the end of the day is Korean beef tacos with chips and salsa for dinner all made by my hypothetical Korean girlfriend, followed by a Korean soap opera on a Samsung, LG, or Daewoo TV. Can't get anymore Korean than that.
