It seems that Vax in Europe (which is the same as Hoover in the USA) has decided that the Dyson Ball canister design was taking too much market share, so they countered Dyson with...a 1955 General Electric Roll-Easy - and made it bagless.

We should have them in the USA at any time as a Hoover. I want the first one, since (like the Constellation revamp) they will only be here for a short period of time - if history repeats itself.

Turbo500 - Love a good power nozzle! Maybe the new EU ratings that are stamped on every cleaner motivated Vax to slap a power nozzle on this cleaner. Earning an "A" rating for carpet cleaning starts with a good brushroll.

Cool idea.. What's old is new again! The layout inside the machine looks logical and clever. The hose looks a bit short, but that could be just from the pictures (crossing my fingers that us spoiled Americans get a nice 8' hose). I'm always concerned with the filtration setup in any bagless I consider buying, and hopefully something similar to the Hoover Air's cyclonic setup is featured here.

Last concern is the wide stance. Hopefully it's not like pulling a sideways Electrolux around the home!

Two thumbs up for this. Looking forward to laying my hands on one and will have to purchase, probably.

It'll be a nice companion to my compact blue Hoover disinfecting canister steam cleaner ensemble.
Some new stuff shows clever engineering and as advertised
