That's a design that I haven't seen before. Great pickup!
My family had a 1998 or so Powerline Bravo II Boss--- I swear it had just about every Eureka name under the sun printed on the thing. LOL
Ours cleaned very well but always smelled like burnt rubber despite my checking the belt and keeping the brush roll clean. At the time, I never knew why there was a filter right across from the suction fan but I now I know that it was meant to be a muffler and help absorb some sound. Bases and hoods of our two machines looked the same, as ours was also a hardcase bag compartment, with no headlight and that same 2nd generation Bravo housing. Brush roll on ours had blue bristles and metal end caps. It was black in color with gold font and decals. It only lasted us 16 months as the motor bearings were getting bad. We got tired of it always smelling like burnt rubber and our cleaning lady never liked it much. It got traded in at a vac shop for a Hoover TurboPower 5000 canister.

This series and all with similar straight hood styles are 12" width.
Style U bag
Style U belt
I am not aware of a HEPA substitute for Eureka U but would be interested. I don't presently own any Bravo/ Powerline/ Boss/ WorldVac uprights of this style but I may in the future.
There were WideTrack 15" models of this direct body style. You'll easily spot those as they have side wings for the brush roll area, or as I refer to it a "T" hood. They should also state WideTrack.
