This time, the Hoover hunt was in northern MO Friday and Saturday, where at Pete's flea Market in Moberly I found a Hoover Decade 80 aqua blue just needing a bag fill tube and a minor rip in the top of the outer bag for $6. 60 miles up Highway 63 in Kirksville, I paid a visit to the Kirksville Vacuum Center where I found another Decade 80, this time in mint green, and an Innovation model U4231 with the gray outer bag and burgundy hood.
This Innovation was dismantled as the bottom piece w/the 2 axles that feeds the cord to the motor and holds the bellows, the axle that holds the actuator cam was broke, but luckily the replacement part was with it.
So I'm trying to fix it, and the biggest challenge is how the f*** did those hoover people fit the cord socket through that little hole in the cam and axle? The dang thing's too big, and what's worse is the Hesco website with all the schematics is down, so I have no help!
