Here is my rare Hoover Turbopower Freedom which was a Christmas gift from my friend Michael. It is a non cyclonic bagless Upright that Hoover offered in the early 1990's which they called "Permabag" as a convenient way to dispose of the dirt without the cost of buying bags, this was released way before James Dyson released his bagless vacuum cleaner, the DC01.

It is in very good condition with just a few dull spots in some areas on the metallic finish (I think whoever owned it prior to me were smokers). It has all of its tools and sounds good, although it does need a new fan as someone had sucked up a nail with it and there is quite a big hole in it, so it is a tad noisy.

These freedoms do clog quite easily and they also leak a little bit of dust in normal use, unless you suck up something like flour, in which case will cover the machine in dust, lol.

This was Hoovers Top of the line Turbopower of that time and it had all the bells and whistles, accept cord rewind. Despite some of its draw backs it is a very stylish, smart and sophisticated looking machine in my opinion.

Well, here she is.

How it looks when you unclip the permabag box.

The dust blows into the permabag system, and gets directed down into the box by that plastic piece that situates near the inlet hole, the dusty air circulates back up and any large partiles hit the plastic mesh to stop those heavier particles clogging the filter, then the fine dust gets trapped in the filter and passes threw the air freshner and back into the room.
