Hey Guys - Selling an extra of the Lewyt LV40.

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/173766998051

Small dings on body, paint missing on top and inside (possibly from moisture) shown in pictures. Some rust spots on hose ends as shown in pictures. Slight bearing noise on slow down.

Unfortunately I do not have any of the parts other than the hose for this machine.

Overall not in perfect shape but still in very decent shape.

I didn't know much about Lewyts, never seen one here. But it's interesting they made them in 1988 still. I never knew that.

Yes, in Canada they still carried on making vacuums until the early 1990's. I think it was 1992 or 1993 they stopped? Doug Smith would have the answer for sure.

The LV60, which would be the powerhead version of this canister, had a cord on the outside of the hose with a receptacle on it to supply power to the powerhead. The powerhead they used was a Broan powerhead that was also used with some central vac kits in the 1980's. The bags this vacuum uses is a Eureka Princess wrap-around bag, I think Type H if I recall right.

I used to know a old man who had one of these LV40's he won as a prize in a contest at a fair, he left it sitting in the box & never did use it :( .
