I have heard of that.

In 1988 and 1989, there were sevral TV promotions that bosted,if you bought a new TOL Eureka ESP Ultra, you would get that book free. Or you could purchase it sprate if you wish. It was just one of those things, to add intrest to a sale.

I have one!!!

Hey there! I'll never forget how I came by mine. I had just finished 3rd grade and we sold our home. As part of the sales proceeds, I talked my dad into letting me get a new vacuum from our mom and pop store downtown (what a gift!!!). I was hoping to find a brown Eureka Quick-Kleen Commercial upright, but none there. Instead a dark blue Sanitaire Mighty-Mite caught my eye (in retrospect a not too smart choice since we were moving into a tri-level with carpet throughout and the Sanitaire was suction-only LOL; but I just HAD to have a commercial vacuum!!!). I still have the receipt for the Sanitaire... summer of 1988... and my dad talked the sales lady into throwing in a copy of How to Beat Housework along with a red plastic toy Eureka delivery semi-truck (with an image of an Eureka Ultra upright with the lady behind it sailing through the air and the slogan of 1988 "Eureka Will Sweep You Off your Feet!"). Ah, the good old days! Love the images of the vacuums within the book and sure wish my mom and pop store still sold Ultras and all the other 1980s vacs! Thanks for the good news of your find!

your dad was very supportive, it appears.

My friend has 2 Hoover Convertible, a Eureeeeeka (had to), a RegIna electric broom, and a D D handvac.  That book came w/ his vacuum.  He's selling the very large home,  and is taking the DD and the Eureka. I HAD to use the DD on the staircase... worked pretty well, but had an odd smell to it. All but 1 room are completely  in move out/move in condition.

I have one too! Bought it right at the Eureka factory in Bloomington, Illinois when I visited in May 1988. Love the array of great cleaners shown in the photo on the back cover: Express, Ultra, Precision, Mighty Mite....oh my!😆
