the feed tube from the power nozzle is clogged/restricted. How do it get to it to clean it out on a 1987-1992 Electrolux Prolux upright?

Try a Teapot-spout brush, a bottle-brush, or Pipe-cleaners. Fencing wire or straightened wire coat hanger with a loop holding a cloth pad?
I had one of my son's Matchbox cars stuck in there.

Failing that, take it all apart.

If the clog is in the black flexible tube at the bottom, remove the screws that hold the cover on. The tube unscrews from the body of the cleaner. If the clog is along the side tube up to the bag, once you remove the flexible tube at the bottom, a straightened-out coat hanger will push what-ever is in there out the bottom where you unscrewed the flexible tube.
