spotted this on ebay and after a week long wait I was the winning bidder, Ive always liked this machine and am so pleased i have finally got one, from what I believe this is from the second generation in which this was their mid range machine, bottom of the line being a black Turbopower Junior, and top of the line being the infamous U2336 glass autoflex, do correct me if I am wrong, any way the seller seemed to be a vacuum shop owner, he stated that it had came in for repair some years ago and simply never picked up, the seller put it in his store room and there it stood for some 20 odd years, it is in remarkable condition there is no sun damage, no leaning and most importantly no cracks or rattles, it even had the original bulb.

Hi Michael,
Great find. My Mum had one of those when I was very little.
You're spot on with the info. Mid-range, second generation. If it's dated 1985, then it's a really early one from the first production run. These didn't hit the shops until early 86.

Chris cheers I had a feeling i was around the right zone with the info, Benny I never knew they changed the motor wiring I did find it strange when I opened it up, anyway back to the refurb.
here was the bath after the wash.

After a further strip down the rear bearing (belt side) was very jumpy and didn't turn smoothly the front wasn't to bad but they both got lubed and are now running nice and smooth, the cooling fan is also a dust build up hot spot.
