Hello, last week Luxboy (Corey) here in Wichita tiped me off on something that I needed. After I found out what it was, I hauled butt down to that thrift store to get it! Here it is....a 1981 Montgomery Ward, in white with red, white and blue racing stripes! It appeared at first glance to be kinda ratty, but it was all just dirt, and paint marks. I have the matching canister to this, so that is where in now sits in the vacuum gallery.  This is a strange machine, even though it has the boxtop bag, Rugualtor, swivel upper cord hook, and headlight, it is only a 4 amp blender motor. I think of it as a blender motor in drag, as a TOL model..LOL... So here first are the before pictures.

Nice! Ages ago I spent too much time at MW our local bigger store and vac department of course. I bought that canister new, lots of power, but it's width I did bang a few door openings. Miss it however. Nice upright too, like how they sound. Great find and pair

Thanks!

Yeah that canister pulls 100 on the suction tester! Pretty impressive! =). I wish I was old enough to have been at Sears, and MW and JcPenney in that time period. I barley remember when MW closed down here in ITC the very last day. =(

I had to get on my PC to get this picture...

I also have to correct my self, it pulls 90, which is still very impressive for a canister of 1981.
