1978 filterqueen

Hello everyone....this is Brad. I brought my filterqueen to the local vac shop to get the plug repaired at the end of where it comes out of the vacuum. The man took a lok and said wow! that is a beautiful macine and in great condition, and he said it is a 1978 model. There was a lady in the shop at the same time I came in the door and she was admiring the vac and said the she has a 1967 filterqueen at home that she bought new in 67 and it still runs like new! The old vacs are just like the old cars ; they don't make them like they used to!!

i am inclined to agree-the New FQ vacs aren't ANYWHERE as nice as the older ones-the Older ones had STRONGER motors-they had MORE suction pressure and higher CFM.also the new machines don't have that "Paddle" power switch that lasts forever.Instead has a rocker switch for hi or lo and off.these don't hold up.
