The first Canadian Electrolux plastic body canister vac. Snatched if off eBay.ca cheap from Kingston, Ontario. But it was an excruciating pain in the butt convincing the ebay consignment store people physicaly based in Canada to ship it from Canada to Canada - they were quite adament that they drove their items across the border to Vermont to ship, even back to Canada. Simply confirmed my impression that some few greedy ebayers make their money overcharging on 'handling' fees. In the end I had it sent to my buddy in Butler PA, costing more than I paid for the vac. It arrived rediculously tossed into a carton with NO packing material whatsover. Fortunately all that plastic bounced off itself with no damage, tho the bolted rubber ring that the motor mounts with-in was torn away, leaving the motor unsupported and destroying full suction - I made a new one. Good as new, only missing the suction control dial on the top. This one has the bean counter mandated dumb non-extending wand in the purely cosmetic plastic sheath...why bother? Jeez.
Love those sexy anti-tip pontoons around the caster. You can see how scratch & scuff free this one is. I'm not all that interested in the plastic vacs but it is the first Canadian model and complete so why not.
Now, the User Manual. The book flips over and the other half is a duplicate in French, of course. The cover has a fold-in flap that serves as a bookmark, a handy function that more manuals should incorporate.
