For years I have been trying to figure out what kind of vacuum my grandparents had in the 70's but I am unable to identify it. My grandma swears it was a Filter Queen, but my grandpa is positive that it wasn't. He said they bought it in 1972. It was chrome and teal and had no power nozzle. It had a swivel hose on the top, and a chrome ring going around the middle. I showed him my Filter Queen 33 and asked if it was that, but he said it was much taller. They said they paid a lot of money for it, and only used it for a few months because it balled up their new shag carpeting. It was then put to use in the garage. My grandpa said it was a wet/dry vacuum, and the bottom of it rusted threw. So obviously it wasn't wet/dry. He said they gave it away sometime in the 80's. It was replaced with a tangerine colored Hoover Convertible. I am thinking it was some kind of Royal variation, but if anyone has any ideas, please respond! Thanks!
