1960s Eureka

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Very cool, Brad. Congrats!! It's a rare opportunity to purchase a vintage collectible from its original owner--and what a great price!

Tell us more about its manufacture if you know it (year, style, specs, et cetera). I am not a Eureka collector so don't know if the exact model was manufactured here in the states or not, and I'm interested in others' collections, anyway.

Also, consider posting a Youtube video of it in action and including a description its features and trivia.

Enjoy!

Great find Brad!! Was this unexpected or something you had your eye on??? Spa days are always fun, you get to see how well they treated it in the past. Best of luck!!! Cheers!! Mark D.

I've been keeping a watchful eye

For one of these Eurekas and specifically this colour:))
I looked on line and there it was,
I so appreciate that I bought it from the original owner ; to me that is special.
I also appreciate that the vacuum was taken such good care of, especially being over 40 years old!
What do you think?

Hey there Brad...lovely 60's Eureka there!

Looks like you got lots of replacement parts with it though. That beige hose looks like it might be from a later canned ham Eureka....there were later Mobile-Aires sold in brown tones.

Interesting that the side "classic car" trim says "Triple Filter". I thought most of these vacs sported "Vibra-Beat" on the side.

Enjoy your new toy!!! :-)

Green with Envy...

Brad,
That's wonderful. I have wanted one of those 'ham can' Eurekas for a long time now and never seem to find them. Can't wait to see the After-The-Spa pics and video.
